In fact, a series of shocking betrayals in the Orphan Black Season 3 finale led to the downfall of a fan favorite Delphine, whose death was just one of many shockers in the episode, which aired Saturday and also set in motion the central storyline for Season 4.

E! takes ‘Fashion Police’ off the bench, hires Melissa Rivers to co-host

Melissa Rivers is reporting for duty at E!’s Fashion Police

The network on Wednesday announced her appointment as co-host, a role that will have her filling one of two seats left empty following the departures of Kelly Osbourne and Kathy Griffin earlier this year

And in hopes of further filling the void that’s been left since the death of Joan Rivers, the network said each episode will feature two rotating celebrity guests

“As an executive producer since the beginning, Melissa helped shape Fashion Police into an iconic TV series that couples fashion with comedy,” said Jeff Olde, executive vice president of programming and development for E!. “We are pleased to now also feature Melissa in front of the Fashion Police cameras, as she joins returning panelists Giuliana and Brad [Goreski]. And with the added flavor of rotating panelists, the show will deliver fresh, different and unpredictable fashion reviews with each new episode.” Read more…

The search for the Castor original led to a surprising source on ‘Orphan Black’

Orphan Black did not mess around in Season 3’s penultimate episode

Sarah, Mrs. S, and Felix’s trip back to England to find the Castor original led them to a shocking source: a family member who was harboring more than just one big secret.

On the path to finding out this information, there was plenty of bloodshed in London, and stateside, it was Helena slicing and dicing drug dealers to help save Donnie and Alison.

Think all that is insane? Wait until you find out the latest betrayal — one that almost cost Cosima’s girlfriend her life Read more…

Mother’s Day brings sadness, deep conversations in ‘Orange Is the New Black’ Season 3 premiere

Warning: This article contains spoilers from the first episode of Orange Is the New Black Season 3. Read with caution.

So, faith

In case you couldn’t tell from the veladora candle-inspired Season 3 art — or the fact that the cast talked about it outright — that’s the theme of Season 3 of Orange Is the New Black

And in the first episode of this new season, which Netflix dropped hours ahead of schedule, the show succeeds in showing faith’s many shades on what is surely one of the most complicated days of the year for Litchfield’s inmates: Mother’s Day Read more…

‘So You Think You Can Dance’ premiere: Here’s who stood out

Summer’s here and the time is right for So You Think You Can Dance

And with the new season comes a completely new format — as contestants choose whether they’re Team Street, dancing improvisational styles like animation and hip-hop, or Team Stage, showing formally trained styles like contemporary and jazz.

Also new? Judges Jason Derulo and Paula Abdul, who join executive producer Nigel Lythgoe (Sir!). I’m not sure why they’re pushing Derulo so much. His music is fun, though I’m personally insulted by his dopey “Wiggle” song, but I’m not sure if he deserves such a huge spot on the show Read more…

Cersei got what was coming to her on ‘Game of Thrones’

Game of Thrones season 5 hasn’t been the show’s strongest — one might argue it’s been the worst by far — but at least Episode 7, “The Gift,” had a couple of fun scenes.

Unsurprisingly, the best was the moment when Cersei finally got what was coming to her as the High Sparrow played his hand. He had her dragged off to a cell that will soon have as much shit and bitterness inside it as Margaery’s, and that’s something at least.

It’s worth revisiting that scene one more time just to watch the look on her face.

But it raises a question, as well: was this the High Sparrow’s plan all along? You have to assume that Lancel Lannister told the religious leader long ago about his role in King Robert’s murder-by-wine. Read more…

‘Mad Men’ creator explains why the series ended with that vintage Coke ad

Warning: This story discusses the series finale of Mad Men. Beware of spoilers.

Just days after Mad Men aired its widely praised final episode, creator Matthew Weiner is opening up about that Coke ad that closed out the show’s epic run

In the episode, which aired Sunday, Don Draper found himself experiencing an emotional breakthrough while on a hippie retreat — which, fun fact: was filmed in Big Sur. The closing moments of the series showed Don meditating then breaking out into a coy smirk before cutting to the vintage “I’d Like to Buy the World a Coke” ad Read more…

‘Dancing With the Stars’ crowned a winner and the Internet is actually happy about it

Warning: This post contains spoilers about the season finale of Dancing With the Stars.

No disrespect to Riker Lynch, but Rumer Willis had to win the mirrorball trophy this season

Certainly, both finalists had the chops to win — Riker’s Paso Doble the other night was fantastic, but there was something about Rumer Willis that simply captivated the Dancing audience this year

Not only was she the best dancer, hitting the floor each week with remarkable grace and poise, but she was also incredibly likable, open and relatable

‘The Flash’: A breakdown of this TV season’s finale MVP

The Flash has been one of the year’s most consistently satisfying shows on TV

That’s a huge accomplishment because, as we know, TV shows tend to ebb and flow throughout their seasons, whether they are 13 episodes long or 20 plus. It’s tough to deliver every week

So going into its final episode of the season, The Flash had some pretty hefty expectations to meet. Thankfully, it delivered in every way

The finale had the team at S.T.A.R. Labs working with their boss-turned-nemesis Dr. Wells — a.k.a The Reverse Flash — in an effort to find a way to save Barry Allen’s mother from her terrible fate. The problem? Doing so would eff with the timeline of the world and had huge risks Read more…

Woohoo! ‘The Simpsons’ has been renewed for 2 more seasons

The longest-running scripted series on TV is continuing its reign for at least two more seasons

Fox on Monday announced they’d renewed animated hit The Simpsons for seasons 27 and 28, which will bring the show’s total episodes to 625.

Homer woohoo-ed to the news in a statement via Fox

“I’ve outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and ‘McDreamy,’ because I have something they don’t: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction,” he …”said.”

The renewal comes after a season that saw the animated show find renewed life via a historically huge deal with FX that brought the show’s entire library to the network and its various platforms. Read more…

No matter your house, it’s tough to go home again on ‘Game of Thrones’

Note: This post contains spoilers for the latest episode of Game of Thrones.

A Stark finally made it back to Winterfell in season 5 episode 3 of Game of Thrones, but no homecoming has ever been less sweet than Sansa’s

Her family members are all murdered or missing, her home has been occupied by her greatest enemies, and she’s about to marry the worst person in all of Westeros — and she doesn’t even know it.

Ramsay Bolton may have acted sweet this episode — “I’ll never hurt her,” yeah, OK — but that just made him even more terrifying to viewers. Ramsay is like Joffrey on shithead steroids, and Sansa’s newfound confidence has blinded her to the situation she’s getting herself into. Read more…
